ADDIE Project Report – DTMS Operators Course

PROJECT SUMMARY

This project was completed during the Fall 2021 Semester as a requirement of the IDE 631-Instructional Design and Development I course required for the Syracuse Universities Master of Science in Instructional Design, Development, & Evaluation (IDD&E) Program. This project identified a current and real-world performance problem affecting the United States Army. As a group, our team utilized the ADDIE Process (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implementation, and Evaluation) to validate and close the current performance problem – the gap. Finally, after report completion, our team prepared a video presentation to brief our peers for their review and to solicit their feedback.

IDD&E PHASE

This project explored all five phases of the ADDIE process to include Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation and all essential aspects included in the IDD&E program.  â€‹

REFLECTION

This project allowed me to comprehensively understand what is expected of an IDD&E professional and the processes required to develop a complete and comprehensive design. This project served to build my skills in developing proper learning objectives and assisted me in identifying problems for learning objectives I set and used during my military career. The design for this course was crafty, well-thought-out, and enhanced my learning and knowledge as an IDD&E Professional.  â€‹

SELF-ASSESMENT

This project identified all the critical competencies required of an IDD&E professional and the vital role(s) of collaboration, planning, managing, and communication of IDD&E and executing the ADDIE Process. After completing the project and reflecting on my experiences, I quickly realized my professional growth about the knowledge, skills, and attributes of an IDD&E professional.
