I am Justin Hood, a father of two beautiful boys and a beautiful wife. I am a life-long learner, strategic leader, and a Sergeant Major in the United States Army. Throughout my last 24 years in the United States Army, I have served in every leadership position beginning at the unit level and culminating at the strategic level. I am a strategic leader with a strong emphasis on human capital and investing in human capital as the primary means to achieve success.

I am an Organization Development (OD) Practitioner and will soon add Instructional Design, Development & Evaluation (IDD&E) professional to my professional resume. As an OD Practitioner and IDD&E Professional, I plan to shift my focus and energy to becoming a private consultant in all industries but specializing in the Defense and Contracting realms of the Department of Defense.

My experience in the military includes Security Assistance and Security Cooperation, Foreign Military Sales, Contracting, and Strategic Operations. My military education consists of the Defense Institute for Security Assistance Management, a graduate of the Defense Contract Management Agency (DCMA) as a contract specialist, a Government Flight Representative (GFR), and a ground safety specialist. My professional education includes attending Pennsylvania State University and Syracuse University graduate school. My extensive military career, diverse assignments, and proven record of success, combined with my civilian education from two highly coveted universities, have given me experience, skills, and science-based education that will benefit future employers, organizations, and entities.

Although education, achieving goals I have set for myself, and success is all significant to me. My family is equally important, and the reason for my previous and current success is essential for future success. My hobbies include:

  • Coaching my children's cross-country team.

  • Attending drag races with my family.

  • Restoring classic cars.

  • Drumming.
